Founded by Dave Dwan, Big Island Triathlon Adventures offers accessible and affordable world-class triathlon training right here in Hawaii, and around the world.
Combining Dave’s experience representing New Zealand at the World Triathlon Champs with his unique collaborative training approach, Big Island Triathlon Adventures' philosophy is all about creating a holistic and athlete-centred mind-body-spirit training journey to get the very best out of each and every athlete.
Remember, times are different, so online coaching, Zoom meetings, easy access are the key.

Meet Dave
Dave is the driving force behind Big Island Triathlon Adventures – with a passion for triathlon that’s unwavering, inspiring, and impossible not to catch!
A past President of the Canterbury Triathlon Club, NZ, and having caught the tri bug himself in 1995, Dave knows a thing or two about the commitment, endurance and mind-set it takes to succeed in this incredible, sometimes gruelling, but always rewarding sport.
Dave has represented New Zealand twice at the World Triathlon Champs, competed in Ironman events in New Zealand, Western Australia, Chattanooga, Santa Cruz, Indian Wells and Hawaii (IM 70.3 Hawaii), plus Lake Wanaka Half and numerous Olympic and Sprint Distance races.
Dave is a World Ironman Finisher 2019
Dave has also run training camps in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Hawaii.
